Overview

About Omaha Parks Foundation

For 150 years, our parks system has been here for our community offering places of joy, relaxation, recreation, and respite. The Omaha Parks Foundation is committed to helping maintain and enhance our parks for the next 150 years.

As the City of Omaha has grown, so has the continued need for parks, trails, playgrounds, and recreation programs. Recognizing that the parks system is vital to improving the lives of ALL Omaha residents, enhancing economic development, and encouraging healthy lifestyles, the Omaha Parks Foundation (OPF) was created in 2010.

The Omaha Parks Foundation operates independently as a private, nonprofit agency qualified as a 501(c)3 organization under the Internal Revenue Code and registered as a charitable corporation in the State of Nebraska. The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors and its activities are coordinated by Tiffany Regan, Executive Director.
The mission of the Omaha Parks Foundation is to improve, promote, preserve, protect, and support Omaha’s Parks and Recreation system. We engage in initiatives that make our parks system more accessible, inclusive, and beneficial to ALL Omahans.
