A curious thing happened while developing a bioreactor for the International Space Station... Our study of physics, quantum biology and the health requirements for astronauts in zero gravity allowed us to re-interpret how proteins and biologicals could be produced in space - without the complex manufacturing processes currently used throughout industry.
