Our journey in establishing One of Us was formed though building formidable business connections that will better the lives of men. We believe we can have a major impact within our network of businessmen through a unique focus on men’s mental health. Our network is our net worth and our health is our wealth. Combining these two within a network of high-value businessmen we know we can have a greater impact throughout our industries and broader community by instilling support and strategies to become better fathers, husbands (partners), friends and leaders. As high performing individuals, we often find ourselves neglecting our health, whether that be physically or emotionally, ultimately leads us the demise of our mental health. One of Us exists as a non-for-profit organisation to create a tight-knit network of businessmen you can rely on when you require support. Balance across the critical aspects of our lives as businessmen and professionals is perhaps one most difficult achievement, and we often see men within our professional lives neglect it and unfortunately the cost is dear. As high performing men, it is our masculinity that often pushes us through incredible barriers, though masculinity requires balance otherwise it can turn to toxicity. Vulnerability brings masculinity into balance, and we aim to provide a private and psychologically safe network to balance our masculinity with vulnerability.
