About Ontario Physician Reporting Centre (OPRC)
The Ontario Physician Reporting Centre (OPRC), formerly the Ontario Physician Human Resources Data Centre (OPHRDC), is the definitive source of data used for physician human resource planning in Ontario.
OPRC is a collaborative project of four organizations, the Ontario Ministry of Health (MoH), the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO), the Council of Ontario Faculties of Medicine (COFM) and the Ontario Medical Association (OMA). OPRC is governed by these organizations, funded by MoH, and operated at McMaster University in Hamilton Ontario. OPRC maintains several databases that support physician human resource planning in Ontario:
• The Active Physician Registry
• The Survey database
• The Postgraduate Medical Trainee database
• The Medical Trainee Days (MTD) data
• The Physician Hospital Appointments Listing (PHAL)
