OODA

OODA was founded in 2010 in Porto on the initiative of Diogo Brito and Rodrigo Vilas-Boas whose paths had crossed on both professional and personal grounds. From their international experiences implementing ideas in various cultural and environmental contexts, respectively in London and Rotterdam, the collective was born. Francisco Lencastre joins the office in 2011, and in 2018 João Jesus and Julião Pinto Leite expand the company structure to five partners. The office, both local and global, aims to promote regional architecture abroad as well as international ideas in Portugal. Currently located in Matosinhos, the practice also has facilities in Lisbon, justified by the ongoing expansion and major commissions in south of Portugal. We are a team of over 70 collaborators from different nationalities working on a wide range of projects with different scales and programs, from singular houses to large scale residential buildings and hotels, institutional buildings to masterplans. In the last 15 years, OODA developed over 100 different studies and projects in 4 continents, challenging national and international partners with a global and transversal lexicon.
