About Open Forum for AI

An academic and non-profit led, collaborative initiative that aims to bend the arc toward human-centered, responsible, transparent and ethical AI.

Recognizing both AI’s transformative potential and its societal risks, OFAI aims to ensure that AI serves the public good, emphasizing well-being, fairness, and accountability.

Our mission is to elevate the voices of the academic and non-profit sectors within the AI ecosystem. Through dialogue and collaboration with universities, government, and industry, OFAI seeks to influence AI policy and practice in ways that reflect shared societal values.

OFAI’s vision is an AI future grounded in transparency, inclusivity, and responsibility, where innovation benefits all, not just a select few. We are restoring balance in the AI landscape by amplifying academic research and nonprofit advocacy alongside industry and government interests.
