About Oppenheimer Generations Research & Conservation
The Oppenheimer Family has a rich history and association with conservation work in South Africa, they have been supporters of biodiversity conservation and research in natural sciences and wildlife administration.
These conservation efforts are inspired by the Oppenheimer Family’s passion for the preservation of South Africa’s natural heritage: Nicky and Strilli Oppenheimer have joined recipients of the World Wildlife Fund’s Lonmin Award for environmental conservation in 2007, in recognition of their outstanding contribution to conservation. Active research centers occur on four of their properties, Tswalu Kalahari Reserve, Telperion, Shangani Ranch, and Wakefield, with numerous research projects conducted on the properties annually.
The Oppenheimer Family remains a dedicated custodian of South Africa’s unique urban ecological heritage.
