About Orange Marine

Orange Marine, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Orange Group, is a cable ship owner specialized in offshore work on submarine cables, from designing and engineering new projects to installing new connections and maintaining existing cables (telecommunications, energy, or hybrid).

Orange Marine can operate worldwide and for any type of customer: telecom operators, cable manufacturers, GAMAM, offshore wind farm operators, etc.

Its expertise is internationally recognized, allowing it to occupy an important place in the world at a time when submarine cables, which are becoming more and more efficient, are of strategic importance for the world economy and are being deployed in every sea and ocean.

With its Italian sister company, Elettra Tlc, Orange Marine has a fleet of 6 cable ships and 1 survey ship, representing almost 15% of the submarine installation and maintenance market.

At the end of 2024, Orange Marine's ships had installed over 288,000 kilometers of fiber optic submarine cables and had carried out over 1,200 repairs, some at depths of over 6,000 meters.

In addition, Orange Marine designs, builds, and operates a full range of submarine machinery for work on submarine cables (ROV - Remotely Operated Vehicles, plows, trenchers, crawlers) capable of working on any type of cable.

In 2023, a new cable ship, the Sophie Germain, joins the Orange Marine fleet.
