OSSHD(Organization for Social Services, Health and Development)

Organization for Social Services, Health and Development (OSSHD), previously known by Organization for Social Services for AIDS (OSSA), is the first and pioneer organization in the fight against HIV and AIDS in Ethiopia. It was established in 1990 by religious organizations, international agencies and cooperation of the national Ministry of Health with the overall goal of contributing to the national effort of prevention and control of the spread of HIV/AIDS. Since 2016, OSSHD shifted to focus on the diverse introduction of programmatic areas such as Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH), Prevention of Gender-Based Violence (GBV), Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Harm Reduction, Maternal, Neonatal and Child health (MNCH), treatment of NTDs and livelihood activities
