Back in 1998, we pioneered the concept of an included cash OUTbonus: where you get 10% of your paid premiums back in cash for remaining claim free. Since then, we’ve paid approximately R6.1 billion in OUTbonuses to more than 880 000 clients*.

We also expanded our personal product offering to include OUTsurance Business, OUTsurance Life Insurance, funeral cover, and pet insurance.

We boast an impressive list of industry awards, from being named the preferred car insurance and home insurance brand as per the 2022/2023 Ask Afrika Icon Brands™ Benchmark Survey to being awarded the title of short-term insurer of the year in the 2023 News24 Business Awards.

In 2022, we walked away with top honours in the 2022/2023 Ask Afrika Orange Index® Award, achieving first place for service excellence in the funeral insurance category.

𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆

1998 – OUTsurance is established in South Africa, providing short-term insurance directly to the public.
2008 – Youi, modelled on OUTsurance is luanched in Australia, offering short-term personal lines insurance.
2010 – OUTsurance Life is established in South Africa, providing basic and underwritten life insurance products.
2022 – OUTsurance Group Limited lists on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange.
2024 – OUTsurance commences operations in the Republic of Ireland in 2024, providing motor and home insurance to Irish consumers.
