About Ohio Valley Chapter of GPN
The Ohio Valley Chapter of URISA is the officially recognized Chapter of The Geospatial Professional Network, (formerly URISA) for the State of Ohio, West Virginia and Western Pennsylvania. Its objectives are:
-To encourage the professional advancement of GIS in the Ohio Valley Region through professional education and public awareness.
-To foster the exchange of ideas and provide a forum of discussion on topics related to GIS in the Region.
-To promote professional interaction within the state GIS community, stimulate research, encourage publication, and generally aid the advancement of its members and other organizations having related objectives.
-To encourage the professional advancement of GIS in the Ohio Valley Region through professional education and public awareness.
