Overview

About PAC-G Platform for Advanced Characterisation Grenoble

The PAC-G provides outstanding non-destructive characterisation for micro and nano-electronics materials, from wafers to packaged electronic devices and systems, using the brightest synchrotron X-rays and the most intense source of neutrons in the world, supported by state-of-the-art facilities at the CEA. We provide proprietary client services, as well as being open to collaborative programmes and partnerships (e.g. Horizon2020 projects).

Created in 2012, the Platform for Advanced Characterisation-Grenoble (PAC-G) is in the heart of one of the main clusters for micro and nano-electronics in Europe.
PAC-G members are the European Synchrotron (ESRF), the Institut Laue-Langevin (ILL), the Laboratory of Subatomic Physics & Cosmology (LPSC) and the PFNC (laboratory nano-characterisation and sample preparation) of CEA-Leti.
Equipped with industry-tailored dedicated equipment and staff, and a world leading expertise, the PAC-G is your ideal partner to characterise micro or nano-electronic samples and offers:
• Non destructive analysis
• In-operando and in-situ analysis
• Dynamic and longitudinal studies
• Flexible experimental design
• 2D or 3D imaging

PAC-G can help customers in the following applications:
• Radiation hardening tests
• Characterisation of Structural properties
- Strain and stress in nanomaterials
- Crystal defects and reciprocal space mapping
- Infertace characterisation
• Defectology and failure analysis
• Physico chemical characterisation
