About Association of Municipalities Polish Network „Energie Cités”

The Association of Municipalities Polish Network „Energie Cités” (PNEC) is a non-government and non-profit organization working on local sustainable energy policies and climate protection, promoting energy efficiency and renewable energy use in cooperation with local authorities in Poland.

The Association represents Polish local authorities, mainly municipalities but also municipal companies and associations.

The Association of Municipalities Polish Network „Energie Cités” is a member of the European Network “Énergie Cités” with its main office in Besançon , France.

OUR ACTIVITY AREAS
- promotion of renewable energy and energy efficiency
- climate protection
- ecological education
- exchange of experience
- information on using structural funds for energy issues in a municipality
- help in identifying financing sources for the projects
- looking for projects partners

OUR EXPERIENCE
- Participation in over 40 national and international projects
- Organization of over 80 seminars, trainings, study tours and conferences in the framework of the projects financed by EU programmes (TEMPUS, SAVE, ALTENER, INTERREG IIIC), USAID (World, Learning, ASE, AED, PAUCI, MUNEE) and national sources
- Training of over 3 000 representatives of local authorities
- Co-operation with partners from different countries (e.g. Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Kirgizstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Ukraine and United Kingdom).
