The young company's expertise stems from the research project launched by Polytives co-founder Oliver Eckardt in 2014. Together with business economist Viktoria Rothleitner and Prof. Felix H. Schacher (professorship of organic chemistry), he has been planning the company since 2018 from an EXIST project and founded it in Jena/Thuringia. The research findings at the time have been successfully scaled up to an industrial production in recent years.
