About Resources of Hope
Resources of Hope is a 501c3 organization. Our mission is to stand with dedicated caregivers, providing unwavering support and essential resources to youth in foster and kinship care throughout Indiana. We do this through our six programs:
The Clothing Closet: Offering up to 2 weeks worth of clothing, hygiene products & other essential items.
Teen Connect: Activity based support group for youth ages 12-17 in foster/kinship care or those adopted.
Birthday Blessings: Birthday gifts and "Party Packs" are given out on foster/kinship kids special day.
Foster Parent Training: Monthly classes covering important and real topics to empower foster parents to provide quality care for longer.
Unite Support Groups: Let's face it. Fostering is hard and no one understands like your peers.
Community Outreach Events: Recharge! (FREE childcare for all kids in the house), Foster Appreciation Picnic, Hope for the Holidays: All these events focus on the entire family unit and help families meet other local similar families.
Being a foster parent is hard. Our organization listens to the needs of foster families in our area and creates programs to work alongside foster parents to help prevent burnout, encourage foster parent retention and empower our families with the skills and knowledge they need to care for kids with trauma.
