Denver, Colorado Non-profit OrganizationsOverview
About RTL Foundation
RTL Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2021. We expand opportunities through our three pillars: entrepreneurship, history, and technology. We advocate for unity, while investing in historically disenfranchised and under-resourced communities. Rooted in Denver’s historic Five Points, we serve partners across Denver, Adams, Arapahoe, and Jefferson counties.
What makes us different: Colorado already has many nonprofits; our role is to strengthen the ones that work. Rather than launching duplicative programs, we equip existing organizations with learning, coaching, space, and tools so they can scale what’s proven.
Entrepreneurship
We operate the BIPOC Nonprofit Development Center (BNDC)—the nation’s first incubator dedicated to BIPOC-led and BIPOC-serving nonprofits. From an 8,500-sq-ft hub in the Five Points Media Center, the BNDC provides discounted offices, event space, conference rooms, and access to media studios and an art gallery that elevates BIPOC creatives. Members receive mentorship, training and networking opportunities designed to increase effectiveness and impact. Today, 17 organizations in the BNDC collectively reach 150,000+ Coloradans.
History
Our African American Experience Timeline—an engaging, evidence-based resource with 130+ milestones—anchors conversations about race and equity in fact and lived history.
Technology
Through RTL Media, we run two state-of-the-art studios with professional cameras, audio gear, editing workstations, and production support. We offer consulting, creator accelerators, and distribution guidance so leaders and artists—especially BIPOC youth—can craft compelling content, build audiences, secure sponsorships, and drive narrative change.
Talent pipeline.
With local universities, our internships place students inside BNDC organizations and RTL Media projects (including work with Colorado PBS12), building real-world skills while boosting nonprofit capacity.
