About Salad Africa (Value Chain Financing For Africa)
Salad Africa is building the financial infrastructure for a food-secure continent. Our mission is to solve the most critical bottleneck in Africa’s agricultural value chain: production-critical liquidity.
By anchoring our financing to verified deliveries and payments from large manufacturers, we de-risk the supply chain, reduce post-harvest waste, and ensure that production is constrained only by demand, not capital.
Our Impact:
Food Security: Our financing has powered the movement of up to 5,000+ metric tons of produce, equivalent to 12 million meals.
Climate Action: We directly mitigate the 8% of global GHG emissions caused by African agricultural waste by reducing post-harvest loss.
Gender Parity: We are committed to inclusive finance, ensuring female smallholders, who represent up to 80% of the labor force, have equal access to the resources they need.
Our Vision: To be the primary engine for Africa’s real economy. Starting with agriculture, our goal is to expand our embedded credit model across all foundational sectors by 2030, creating a thriving continent where production is never limited by a lack of finance.
