Salama Peace Initiative (SPI)

SPI empowers African youth and women to actively engage in conflict resolution, peacebuilding, and governance through innovative knowledge-sharing and capacity-building initiatives. We create platforms for young people and women to document their experiences, conduct research, and share insights on critical issues affecting their communities. Through our writing programs, research initiatives, cross-cultural exchanges and dialogue and advocacy platforms, we enable youth and women to contribute meaningfully to peace and development discussions. Our work spans multiple countries, including Chad and Sudan, bringing together diverse perspectives and fostering collaboration across borders. By amplifying youth and women voices and facilitating experience sharing, we strengthen their role decision-making processes and community development. Our approach combines grassroots engagement with strategic advocacy to create lasting impact in conflict transformation and democratic governance.
