About SANSAD TV
Sansad Television is the official parliamentary channel of India, created in 2021 by merging Lok Sabha Television and Rajya Sabha Television. It showcases India's parliamentary democracy to the world with the vision of becoming the leading parliamentary channel globally.
Mandate:
1. Cover and telecast events and proceedings exclusively within the Parliament premises.
2. Collaborate with institutions like Prasar Bharati to broadcast programs and events outside the
Parliament.
3. Develop, produce, and air programs that:
a. Highlight constitutional principles, parliamentary democracy, and iconic parliamentary debates.
b. Promote a deeper understanding of parliamentary procedures and analyze key issues to ehance public awareness.
c. Showcase India's diverse aspects, including development initiatives, achievements, current affairs, culture, socio-economic issues, heritage, and more.
