Stony Brook University School of Professional Development

The School of Professional Development (SPD) is the home of Stony Brook University's graduate programs in education, human resource management and related management fields, with 26 graduate degree, certificate and post-baccalaureate programs. Our curriculum is designed to integrate theory with practice, equipping students with the foundational knowledge and skills-based competencies needed to advance their careers. Courses are conveniently scheduled for working professionals, with classes offered in the evening and online — including several fully online options.
