Since our foundation in 1947, SEKISUI CHEMICAL Group (hereinafter "SEKISUI") has been a global leader in the manufacturing of synthetic products. One of our innovative products, Fiber Reinforced Foamed Urethane (FFU) Synthetic Sleepers, was developed in collaboration with the Railway Technical Research Institute (Tokyo, Japan) in 1980. Designed as a replacement for traditional timber sleepers, FFU Synthetic Sleepers offer similar characteristics such as lightweight, strength, durability, and ease of handling. Additionally, being a synthetic material, they provide the benefits of plastic, including no water absorption, resistance to corrosion, and excellent chemical resistance.
With increasing regulations on preservative chemicals for treated timber sleepers and a growing focus on environmental protection, our FFU Synthetic Sleepers present an ideal solution for railway operators' track maintenance needs. Our product has been supplied to over 35 countries, and we aim to expand further, leveraging our technology and 45 years of experience in this field.
