About Social Hardware
Founded in 2017, Social Hardware International Private Limited is a Bengaluru-based startup dedicated to enhancing and protecting lives through innovative technology. We began our journey by developing assistive devices for underserved communities, gaining national recognition in 2021 through a collaboration with Cadbury Celebrations for the #MyFirstRakhi campaign. This initiative provided sensory-enabled prostheses to children with upper limb differences, allowing them to fully participate in the Raksha Bandhan tradition. Our commitment to inclusivity and cultural integration reached over 27 million people and set new benchmarks for accessible assistive technology in India.
Building on our expertise in bionics and prosthetics, Social Hardware is now pioneering India’s first full-stack robotics platform—a unified architecture powering robots for defense, industry, and labs, all supported by a common supply chain and production line.
