St Leonard's Hospice

St Leonard’s Hospice is an independent charity, providing palliative and end-of-life care in York and across North Yorkshire. We are here to help and support anyone living with a life-limiting illness and those they care about. Our services include an in-patient unit, Hospice@Home, Carer Support Service, bereavement support, plus our wellbeing and outreach support.

Our care is always provided free of charge to patients and their families, but it is not free to provide. As a charity we rely heavily on the generosity of the public to help raise the £9.9 million it costs each year to run St Leonard’s Hospice. Although St Leonard’s does get some public funding the majority of the running costs have to be raised from donations and fundraising by our local community.
