About JASON Institute

JASON Institute for Peace and Security Studies (Stichting JASON) is a Dutch youth think tank organisation founded in 1975. Before the end of the Cold War, JASON Institute focused primarily on Atlantic relations. Since the 1990s, the Institute has focused on peace and security issues on an international scale. The aim of JASON Institute today is to connect students and young professionals with experts working in the field, providing them with a platform to discuss and engage with pressing issues and to gain a wider understanding of international security.

JASON Institute’s Activities Committee organises lectures, panel discussions, conferences, and visits to international organisations. Students and experts from the diplomatic and academic field are gathered to discuss specific and recent themes in international relations, strategic studies, defence, and peacemaking.

JASON Institute’s Editorial Committee publishes an annual Magazine of news and academic articles on select topics of international security. The editorial staff consists of young professionals and students, and the articles published in the JASON Magazine are a combination of student, young professional, and expert pieces of writing.

All students and young professionals interested in international security, regardless of their field of study or expertise, can take part in events organized by the Institute. Subscription to the Magazine is free and open to everyone.
