About STRAW India
STRAW's motto is "Animal Welfare through Education." We inspire empathy & compassion for all living beings among school & college students through our humane educations programs.
Our Programs include Compassionate Classrooms for school children, Compassionate Scholars for college students and Stories of Kindness Webinar Series for everyone, during the pandemic.
STRAW are associated with schools like the British School, The Pathways School, Army Public School, Delhi World Public School, DAV School, The Seventh Day Adventist School, etc. for our Compassionate Classrooms Program.
For the Compassionate Scholars Program, STRAW is associated with colleges like the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-D), St. Stephens College, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Delhi Technological University (DTU), Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), Motilal Nehru College, Hansraj College & Maitreyi College.
STRAW has also contributed content relating to empathy to school textbooks and teachers' manuals brought out by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and other state educational boards.
Located in New Delhi, INDIA, STRAW is recognized and certified by the Animal Welfare Board of India (AWBI) and is a former Member Society of WSPA (https://www.worldanimalprotection.org/), UK, a partner organization of the Humane Education Coalition, USA (https://www.hecoalition.org/) and FIAPO (https://www.fiapo.org/fiaporg/).
