SummaCare is headquartered in Akron, Ohio and is one of the region's only provider-owned health insurance companies. SummaCare was formed in the early 1990s as a product offering for large, self-funded employers in Akron. Since then, we have grown regionally and nationally to meet the needs of individuals and employers of all sizes and funding arrangements. SummaCare offers Medicare Advantage plans, employer group insurance and individual and family plans. Additionally, SummaCare offers a full range of self-funded products and administrative services.
