SUSBOARD

SUSBOARD is a Horizon Europe innovation project developing the first cost-competitive, sustainable, and 100% biobased adhesive for industrial wood board production (particleboard and MDF). SUSBOARD replaces fossil-based components with biobased polylysine, delivering a formaldehyde-free adhesive with a significantly lower carbon footprint and improved performance.

The project brings together a consortium across the value chain, from raw material suppliers to board and furniture manufacturers, to scale up production, validate the adhesive in real industrial settings, and promote a greener, safer and fossil-free wood panel industry in Europe.
