About VSSC/ISRO Technology Transfers

The Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), located in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, serves as the lead center for the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) in the design and development of launch vehicle technology. The center engages in active research across various domains, including aerodynamics, avionics, materials, mechanisms, vehicle integration, chemicals, propulsion, space ordnance, structures, space physics, and systems reliability. Under the directives of the Indian Space Policy, ISRO developed technologies are increasingly being commercialised. Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Center (IN-SPACe) and NewSpace India Limited (NSIL) have been authorized to enter into Technology Transfer Agreements with suitable entrepreneurs and industries in India. VSSC has developed a range of indigenous technologies with applications in both the space sector and various spin-off industries. These include advancements in chemicals, materials, processes, electronics, and software. Many of these technologies have already been transferred to multiple industries and remain available for further collaboration. To explore the list of available technologies and learn more about the application process, interested parties are encouraged to apply through the IN-SPACe portal.
