About Texas Peanut Producers Board

The Texas Peanut Board was founded back in 1969 and is funded by voluntary checkoff money. The Peanut Producers Board is the oldest agricultural commodity board in the state of Texas. We have nine directors and two staff members who work to support and grow the Texas Peanut industry.

Our primary efforts include Peanut Research, Consumer and Grower, Education Programs, Market Development and Promotion.

Texas is the fourth largest peanut-producing state in the United States and is unique in that it produces all four types of peanuts - Runner, Virginia, Spanish and Valencia.
