About Texbrasil
The Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program was founded in 2000 by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil with the mission of supporting and preparing textile and apparel companies interested in selling their products abroad. For this purpose, the Program promotes meetings between Brazilian companies and international buyers, agents and journalists at the main trade shows and fashion weeks in Brazil and the world. Since the Program’s launch, more than 3,000 visitors, including buyers and journalists, have come to Brazil to learn more about Brazilian fashion, culture and lifestyle.
Texbrasil has already hosted representatives from leading international companies, such as Browns London, Le Bon Marché, Galleries Lafayette, El Palacio de Hierro, El Corte Inglés, Bugatti, Selfridges, Macy’s, Peek & Cloppenburg, American Rag, Franck et Fils, LuisaViaRoma and United Arrows. Among media representatives, we have welcomed editors, reporters and producers from some of the world’s leading news and fashion publications: The Guardian, Clarín, Le Monde, Elle, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, The New York Times, The Business of Fashion, WWD, amongst others.
We also showcase Brazilian fashion abroad through activities such as trade shows, pop-up stores, fashion shows, exhibitions and partnerships with department stores.
