About The Beautiful Collective
We imagine a world where, from birth, a human being's entire experience is free from negative impacts and barriers to living a full, thriving and participatory life based on their neurotype. We are working to ensure that each person is able to enjoy, contribute to and benefit from society equitably, based on their individual characteristics and ways of being; and that they are supported in this lifelong human right by the social systems and people that they interconnect with throughout their lives.
We believe that ‘Neuroconvergence is Beautiful’ and is essential for human, societal and cultural progress. We know that society has reached a point where we need all neurotypes to come together to solve human, societal and planetary challenges and create future society and social systems that are equitable, nondiscriminatory and better serve the needs of radically changing human aspirations and life conditions.
The Beautiful aims to end the polarisation in current socio-cultural thought and practice between ‘Neurodivergent’ and ‘Neurotypical’. We aim to do this by creatively exploring and seeking to change these paradigms in every part of a person's life, from birth. This is a considerable challenge but one that we see as essential if we are to collectively make real, systemic and sustained progress.
We aim to show that when all neurotypes are able to freely come together, humanity can collectively accelerate systemic social change, co-create a prevention based society that we can all thrive in, contribute to ending social injustices and institutional trauma caused by lack of neuroconvergence and, as a result, spread joy as an act of resilience for all.
