About Huddersfield Town Foundation
The Huddersfield Town Foundation was officially launched in July 2012 and is the official charity of HTAFC.
It aims to improve the lives of vulnerable individuals across Kirklees and encourages all citizens to live healthily, happily and to fulfill their potential.
The Town Foundation is perhaps best known for its ‘Early Kick-Off’ Breakfast Clubs, which were born to ensure that with a free breakfast, children across the community are given a healthy and nutritious start to the day.
Today, the Foundation operates 41 breakfast clubs and has served close to two million breakfasts.
The Town Foundation now offers a wide range of community activity from Sporting Memories, which helps individuals living with dementia and other isolating conditions to socialise and talk about the sports they love, to a weight management programme, helping adults to reach their fitness goals.
Premier League initiatives are a part of the Foundation’s offer such as Premier League Kicks, using the power of football to inspire young people in high-need areas and Primary Stars, which inspires primary school children in Maths and English, teamwork and Sport.
Central to all of this is the fundraising work carried out by the Town Foundation, which ensures that these much-loved initiatives can all be sustained.
Events such as the Foundation Ball, Fizz Friday Ladies’ Lunch and Big Sleep Out all contribute to this, with the latter also supporting the local homeless community.
In 2022, the Huddersfield Town Foundation will celebrate its tenth anniversary year.
