About The Project Futurus
The Project Futurus is a social enterprise that promotes positive aging through education, advocacy, community service, and impact program design. The Project Futurus strives to drive deeper social impact in the community through collaboration and co-creation. Established in 2018, The Project Futurus focuses on solving three social problems:
1. Enhance elders’ wellbeing through meaningful community engagements -SDG 3, SDG 17
2. Provide dignified dining solutions for those with swallowing difficulties – SDG 3
3. Raise awareness on ageing and promote social inclusion- SDG 3, SDG 10
Our mission
We believe that the key to social innovation is to see and feel the world with empathy. We are committed to fostering an age-positive culture that promotes aging with dignity. We strive to create an inclusive society through innovative means and meaningful engagements.
What we do
Captain Softmeal - A platform that advocates dignity dining for elderly with swallowing difficulties (dysphagia) and a pioneer in softmeal development. Captain Softmeal is committed to helping elders and patients who suffer from swallowing difficulties to live a better life through quality and nutritious texture modified diet. We offer softmeal-making workshops, softmeal catering service, recipe creations, school programs, pay-it-forward community voucher, etc. We also work with corporations and partners on softmeal donations and community impact programs.
Sensory Restaurant on WheelsTM: A community program that combines elements of creative arts, reminiscence and community service for elders living with dementia and disabilities. The Program aims to deliver the joy of dim sum dining, address issues of social isolation, and improve elders’ overall well-being by engaging the community.
Memories in Clay
Together with community volunteers and youth, we collaborate with local ceramic artists to preserve precious memories and feelings of elders’ living with dementia through ceramic creation.
