About The Big Cat Sanctuary

The Big Cat Sanctuary, based in the Kent countryside, is dedicated to the protection and preservation of wild cats, both in captivity and in their natural habitats. Home to over 35 cats across 14 species, we provide a safe, enriching environment while working to safeguard the future of these incredible animals.

Our mission is built on five pillars:
๐Ÿ’š Welfare: providing world-class care for every cat in our Sanctuary.
๐Ÿงฌ Breeding: contributing to global breeding programmes for endangered species.
๐Ÿ“š Education: inspiring people to take action for the future of wildlife.
๐ŸŒ Conservation: supporting in-situ and ex-situ projects worldwide.
๐Ÿพ Rescue: providing forever homes for cats in need of a second chance at life.

We are proud to be recognised as part of the IUCNโ€™s Centre for Species Survival for Cats, establishing the Sanctuary as a global hub for the protection and recovery of all 40 wild cat species, globally.

Through collaboration, innovation, and the support of our community, we strive to ensure a future where wild cats continue to thrive.
