The Habitat Foundation

The Habitat Foundation is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to biodiversity conservation in Malaysia. The Foundation is contributing to innovative solutions to protect Malaysia's natural heritage in close cooperation with government agencies, experts, NGOs, and community partners. In conjunction with The Habitat Penang Hill, the Foundation supports nature education and sustainability issues as part of the UNESCO designated Penang Hill Biosphere Reserve. THF also chairs the Sustainable Tourism Malaysia Network which is a sector-led movement to champion regenerative tourism and grow a conscious travel community. In addition to our own Foundation-led initiatives, we support conservation, research, education, sustainability and training through our grants programme. The next call for applications for THF grants will be in August 2025.
