About The Hammer Band
The Hammer Band is a non-profit music organization, focused on providing students with a prosperous, bright and safe future through music education. We aim to provide children with confidence, empathy and tolerance through music.
Children who learn to play an instrument and perform together learn crucial life skills such as self-discipline, teamwork and resilience. Studies show that music education has many benefits: improved academic performance, lower drop-out rates and stronger communities.
Today, the program is available in 42 Toronto public schools, and growing!
