About TiHAN-IIT Hyderabad
TiHAN – Technology Innovation Hub on Autonomous Navigation at IIT Hyderabad is established under the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NMICPS), Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.
TiHAN focuses on advancing research, innovation, and technology development in autonomous navigation systems, including UAVs, autonomous vehicles, advanced air mobility, and intelligent transportation.
The hub provides a state-of-the-art testbed and research ecosystem enabling real-world testing, validation, and development of autonomous technologies.
Key focus areas include:
• Autonomous aerial and terrestrial vehicles
• Edge-enabled intelligent mobility systems
• UAV and drone technologies
• Advanced sensing and perception systems
• Autonomous navigation datasets and AI research
TiHAN collaborates with industry partners, startups, academic institutions, and government organizations to accelerate innovation and build a robust autonomous systems ecosystem in India.
