Training and Placement Cell, NIT Durgapur

Training and Placement Cell, NIT Durgapur, formerly called Career Development Center, NIT Durgapur, facilitates the internship and placement processes for the undergraduate and postgraduate students of the National Institute of Technology Durgapur.

It consists of a team which includes the Chairman, Convener & Faculty Coordinator, Training and Placement Officers (TPOs), Career Development Advisor and Training and Placement Representatives (TPRs) who are committed to continuously work for better and smooth functioning of the placements at NIT Durgapur.

Normally the placements at NIT Durgapur commence in the beginning of the final year (seventh semester) i.e., in the month of July. Prior to this, an invitation is sent to all previous recruiters in the month of May.

Along with the invitation, a form is provided seeking the company profile & information (CPI Form). After getting the willingness from the companies, the CPI Form is displayed in the notice Board. On the allotted day, the company visits the campus, conducts pre-placement talk followed by tests and interviews of the willing candidates and selects the best.
