Translational Neuropsychiatry Unit - AU

Translational Neuropsychiatry Unit (TNU) carries out translational neuropsychiatric research, particularly focusing on human and animal experimental studies. TNU furthermore provides an interdisciplinary and collaborative research environment ensuring fruitful research interaction with various research departments. Our research ranges from basic neurobiological science to clinically oriented investigation of neuropsychiatric disorders.

Our overall goal is to understand the brain neurobiology and to facilitate development of new therapeutics, particularly targeting mood and psychotic disorders.
