About TrAMS – Trace Analysis and Mass Spectrometry Group
TrAMS – Trace Analysis and Mass Spectrometry Group is dedicated to advancing research in cutting-edge analytical methodologies across diverse fields including Food Chemistry, Environmental, Pharmaceutical, and Industrial Chemistry.
Our team specializes in state-of-the-art mass spectrometry techniques, providing expertise and instrumentation that strengthen the university’s research infrastructure.
We focus on addressing environmental challenges related to emerging micropollutants and their transformation products through comprehensive approaches involving monitoring, fate studies, and ecotoxicology.
Committed to enhancing food authenticity, safety, and quality, we develop innovative methods for detecting trace adulterations, determining geographical and varietal origins, and evaluating contaminants.
Furthermore, we design sophisticated software and advanced chemometric tools to support non-target data analysis, improving safety and quality monitoring in food and environmental contexts.
