About The Role

True Living LLC is seeking an Architectural Designer to join our dynamic team in Charlottesville, VA. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is early in their career and eager to learn the ins and outs of residential design and construction. As an Architectural Designer, you'll receive direct mentorship, be given real responsibilities from the start, and have the chance to grow quickly in your field.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to understand every aspect of how residential projects come together--from initial design to final construction. We're looking for an individual who is coachable, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic about improving their craft.

Note: This position is onsite in Charlottesville, VA, and requires in-person work. Remote work is not available.

Key Responsibilities

Design residential plans, drawings, and 3D models.
Work with Chief Architect software (training provided).
Assist in the design process from conceptual design to construction documentation.
Revise plans based on feedback, site conditions, and construction feasibility.
Collaborate with Project Managers, Estimators, and field teams.
Ensure drawing sets are organized, accurate, and ready for execution.
Contribute to a process that emphasizes clarity, buildability, and long-term quality.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Architecture, Design, or a related field.
Eager to learn and improve your skills in residential design and construction.
A willingness to receive constructive feedback and apply it effectively.
Detail-oriented, dependable, and accountable.
Familiar with CAD or drafting software; open to learning new systems.
Strong interest in residential design and its practical application in construction.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $55,000 - $72,000 per year (based on ability, performance, and growth potential).
Full benefits package offered after a successful evaluation period.
