About Tselepos Wines

Tselepos Wines is a 30 year old Greek family winery producing high quality wines in Peloponnese and Santorini. We focus on the indigenous varieties: moschofilero, assyrtiko and agiorgitiko, to discover their potential in each microclimate (terroir).

«Good wines are produced in the winery but fine wines are made in the vineyard”, this is the moto of the owner and winemaker Yiannis Tselepos. Thus, we invest in 65 hectares of a privately-owned vineyard, setting as our main priority the quality of the grapes and care of the vineyard.

We respect the tradition and the use of technology for the improvement of the wine quality. Vineyard practices are mainly done manually but we also apply “precision viticulture” (e.g. the use of drone for vineyard mapping).We use cutting edge oenological equipment and experiment with aging vessels like: stainless tanks, french oak barrels, wooden tanks, clay amphorae and concrete wine eggs.

Our philosophy is that we do mild interventions in the wine, when they are essential. The goal of our company is the transition to a more sustainable management of the production, taking measures so that we minimize the environmental footprint impact of the estate.
