Focus on the metallurgy of iron and steel manufacturing as well as research, development and characterization of high-performance steel alloys, ferrous materials and oxide systems related to steelmaking. For this purpose, the institute features a wide range of research facilities and cutting-edge equipment in two test fields and several laboratories.
