Founded in 1895 by Shri Tulsidas Khimji, TKPL began with a single table inside a bank, handling cotton consignments with honesty and diligence. His integrity earned the trust of British banking officials, leading to the handling of high-value shipments including gold, bullion, and currency. From these beginnings, TKPL expanded into customs clearance, warehousing, insurance, sea transport, and multimodal logistics, shaping a legacy that continues today.
TKPL’s early leaders were instrumental in building India’s logistics institutions. Shri Tulsidas was the Founder President (1938–1948) of the Clearing Agents Association, Bombay, which later became the Brihanmumbai Customs Brokers Association (BCBA). His son, Shri Karsandas Tulsidas, served as President of the Clearing Agents Association, Founder President of FFFAI, and was made Permanent President of Honour in 1965, a recognition by the Federation for his pivotal role in India’s customs and trade framework.
TKPL pioneered air cargo in India, acting as agents for Imperial Airways and KLM in the 1930s, and became one of the first IATA Approved Cargo Agents in 1949, marking the historic shift “from wheels to wings.”
Today, the company operates across 20+ locations PAN-India, offering air & sea freight, project & ODC cargo, exhibition cargo, pharmaceuticals & perishables, hazardous goods, customs broking, domestic transport, and warehousing. TKPL collaborates globally to provide seamless, reliable, and compliant logistics solutions.
