About TUM School of Engineering and Design (ED)

Creating engineered solutions for a livable future.

TUM School of Engineering and Design at Technical University of Munich (TUM) carries out world-class research and teaching at the interface of engineering and design. Established in 2021, we consistently lead the rankings in Germany and Europe and attract students and researchers from all over the world.

Our unique blend of engineering and design programs enables us to train students who can impact the entire lifecycle of the built environment, from planning to design to construction.

Our job is to channel their enthusiasm for innovation and technology into real products by providing them with the construction and management skills they need. We believe that entrepreneurship and social responsibility go hand in hand.

Our school represents an inclusive and enthusiastic community of staff, students and professional partners who recognise that what they design and develop will have a lasting impact on the fabric of society. Joining this school is your opportunity to leave a tangible imprint on our neighbourhoods of the future – locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.

The quality of the professional experience and expertise of the staff in the School – and the industry links and connections they facilitate – will help you forge a meaningful understanding of how to plan, design, construct, protect and maintain the world around us. And how together we can collaborate with industry to make a real-world difference.
