Established in 1930, CBER provides objective, transparent, & multidisciplinary analysis to inform strategic decision-making. CBER responds to requests from state & local government agencies, chambers of commerce, public & private researchers, industrial organizations, news media, & private citizens. CBER houses the Alabama State Data Center, which is a great source for the most current analysis of Census data, population estimates and projections, and other demographics throughout Alabama. CBER conducts quarterly Alabama Business Confidence Index (ABCI) online surveys that forecast how Alabama business executives think the state, the nation, and their industry will perform during the upcoming quarter.
