About Advanced MSc in Maritime/Air Transport Management - MATM (C-MAT)
The Advanced Master in Maritime and Air Transport Management (MATM) is a specialised programme that provides high-level academic and practical training in the field of transport economics, with a focus on maritime and air transport. The MATM is a University of Antwerp degree (EQF Level 7), delivered at the Antwerp Management School, a leading institution for executive education and international management training.
The programme has a long and respected history. It was originally established in 1996 as ITTMA (Institute of Transport and Maritime Management Antwerp), relaunched in 2016 as C-MAT, and has been fully embedded at the Antwerp Management School since 2019. This integration allows the programme to benefit from both strong academic foundations and close connections with industry and policy.
The MATM programme offers:
- A strong advanced master’s curriculum that integrates academic research with current industry practices and policy frameworks.
- A choice between two specialised tracks: Maritime Transport Management or Air Transport Management.
