About UNC Wilmington College of Health and Human Services
The UNCW College of Health and Human Services (CHHS) was established to make a positive impact on the health and quality of life of residents in the state of North Carolina and beyond. The goal of the CHHS is to help individuals, families and communities live healthier, more prosperous and empowered lives.
We strive to accomplish this goal through excellence in teaching, scholarship and service. Faculty, staff and students within the CHHS are passionate about the enhancement of health and quality of life, especially within the underserved communities in Southeastern North Carolina.
The CHHS consists of three professional schools:
School of Health and Applied Human Sciences
School of Nursing
School of Social Work
These schools offer nationally accredited programs of study in nursing, clinical research and product development, social work, athletic training, exercise science, gerontology, public health, healthcare administration, healthful living and fitness education, recreation therapy and recreation, sport leadership and tourism.
