About Unifab Corporation
Unifab Corporation provides precision sheet metal fabrications for a broad range of industries with our primary focus being aluminum, stainless steel and mild steel components. Our services include, but are not limited to, engineering and prototyping, laser and tube laser cutting, formed metal fabricating, and welding.
With our array of equipment and knowledgeable staff, we have the ability to develop flat stock into precisely formed components. We can provide you with a single source operation using our in-house powder coating, assembly, and packaging capabilities.
Prior to becoming a premier metal fabrication shop, we were Kalamazoo Coaches, Inc. At its inception in 1940, we manufactured 16-18 passenger buses known as “Pony Cruisers.” These buses were marketed internationally to transportation companies specializing in short distance mass transit. At the end of World War II, as the automobile became the preferred mode of personal transportation, the demand for Pony Cruisers declined. Kalamazoo Coaches became Unifab Corporation in March of 1952.
