About UNITE Credit Union
UNITE Credit Union was established in 1955 and provides financial services to individuals who live or work in the Iowa counties of Black Hawk, Butler, Bremer and Grundy. As well as employees, students, alumni and families of the University of Northern Iowa and Cedar Falls Community School District. Members also include employees, retirees and families of MidAmerican Energy, Greco Financial and Nagle Signs.
UNITE is federally insured by the National Credit Union Association. Earnings are distributed to members through better rates on savings products and loan rebates as well as new and improved member services and features.
An 11-person, volunteer board of directors represents all member-owners and governs the credit union. Board positions consist of three staggered classes, each with terms of three years. Elections take place at UNITE’s annual meeting, and all eligible members can vote. Enrollment requires a $5.00 deposit, which is held for the duration of membership.
